All Services
Diabetic Check
This is provided by surgery appointments with a doctor or with the diabetic nurse at the surgery, or in certain circumstances, the hospital. We aim to offer all diabetic patients who are not under regular hospital follow-up a diabetic clinic review twice a year. Appointments are sent out by post. If you know you are due to be seen for your diabetic review, please contact the surgery to book your appointment.
Asthma Care
This is provided by surgery appointments with your usual doctor in conjunction with asthma clinic attendances with one of our practice nurses. You may be asked to make a clinic appointment by your usual doctor, or you may make a clinic appointment whenever you feel that advice is needed regarding the control of your asthma. We advise that you attend the asthma clinic at least annually.
Childhood Vaccinations
Immunisation is the safest and most effective way of protecting your child against serious disease. The surgery offers a child immunisation clinic where an appointment can be made for primary immunisations, pre-school boosters and teenage boosters. The surgery offers all girls between the age of 12 – 18 the HPV vaccine. Please contact the surgery if your daughter has not received this vaccine.
Health Promotion Activities
At Whitemoor Medical Centre we consider these to be of paramount importance. Please make an appointment with one of our practice nurses or healthcare assistants. Your doctor will often raise general health issues during routine consultations. Please feel free to discuss any specific areas of concern.
