REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

If your Doctor has decided that you need regular medication, you may not need to be seen each time you require a prescription.

You may request that your prescription be collected by a local Pharmacy of your choice.

A repeat prescription can be ordered by:-

Telephoning 08445 76 9200 (and choose option 3) between 12 noon and 3.00 p.m., Monday to Friday. We do NOT have an answering machine so if you get one, you have called an incorrect number. Please dial again. Please have your patient number and the correct name and strength of the medication you require to hand.

Tick the items you require on your last repeat slip and placing the prescription order slip into the Prescription Box near the reception desk or the post box by the Medical Centre driveway front gates.

If you would like your prescription posting, please supply a stamped addressed envelope.

You can also leave your repeat prescirption with a local chemist to be delivered to the Surgery.

Please allow at least two full working days for processing before collection from the Surgery and 3 days if collecting from a pharmacy or requesting delivery from a pharmacy. For clarification, if a prescription is requested at 1.00pm on Tuesday, please allow Wednesday/Thursday (two full working days) for processing and it will be available for collection from the Surgery after 2:00 pm Friday afternoon. If you want it sent to the Pharmacy, please allow 3 full working days.

Please allow at least 3 full working days for prescriptions you want sent to a chemist/pharmacy or delivered from a chemist/pharmacy. For clarification, if a prescription is requested at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, please allow Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (three full working days) for processing and it will be available at the chemist/pharmacy after 2:00 pm on Monday afternoon or be delivered on Monday afternoon.

As from 1st July there will be no facility for 6:15pm requests for prescriptions. If you require an urgent prescription that is not a repeated item, then you will be required to see a Doctor at the end of his/her surgery. If it is a repeat prescription that is required, then the Doctor will sign the prescription but not until the end of his/her surgery. There may be a chance that Manor Pharmacy will have closed. The pharmacy’s available are Morrisons (open until 8:00pm) or Ripley Pharmacy (open until 12:30am).
