PrescriptionsREPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS If your Doctor has decided that you need regular medication, you may not need to be seen each time you require a prescription. You may request that your prescription be collected by a local Pharmacy of your choice.
If you would like your prescription posting, please supply a stamped addressed envelope. You can also leave your repeat prescirption with a local chemist to be delivered to the Surgery. Please allow at least two full working days for processing before collection from the Surgery and 3 days if collecting from a pharmacy or requesting delivery from a pharmacy. For clarification, if a prescription is requested at 1.00pm on Tuesday, please allow Wednesday/Thursday (two full working days) for processing and it will be available for collection from the Surgery after 2:00 pm Friday afternoon. If you want it sent to the Pharmacy, please allow 3 full working days. Please allow at least 3 full working days for prescriptions you want sent to a chemist/pharmacy or delivered from a chemist/pharmacy. For clarification, if a prescription is requested at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, please allow Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (three full working days) for processing and it will be available at the chemist/pharmacy after 2:00 pm on Monday afternoon or be delivered on Monday afternoon. As from 1st July there will be no facility for 6:15pm requests for prescriptions. If you require an urgent prescription that is not a repeated item, then you will be required to see a Doctor at the end of his/her surgery. If it is a repeat prescription that is required, then the Doctor will sign the prescription but not until the end of his/her surgery. There may be a chance that Manor Pharmacy will have closed. The pharmacy’s available are Morrisons (open until 8:00pm) or Ripley Pharmacy (open until 12:30am). PRESCRIPTION PRE-PAYMENT - Telephone 0845 850 0030 If you regularly need more than one prescription per month Certificates are available for three months or a year to help people who require large quantities, or regular prescriptions to reduce the cost where they are not entitled to free prescriptions on other grounds.
